Celiac and T.G.I. Friday's:
As
a celiac sufferer, I have had great success
ordering a couple of menu items (with changes)
at T.G.I.
Friday's in Saratoga Springs, NY.
When strawberries are in season, I order
a large house salad without dressing, croutons, or bread,
but with added strawberries and mandarin oranges.
I also order a cobb salad
with extra avocado, but without chicken, bacon, or bleu cheese.
I request added strawberries, mandarin oranges, and dried cranberries.
I have not had a reaction to this combination of ingredients.
Yum!
Also, the T.G.I. Friday's manager (Robert) kindly studied
the ingredients book and told me I could safely order
a flat iron steak without any sauce, and
mashed potatoes with cheddar cheese.
It was fabulous!
